Bio
My name is Georgi Dorward and I am a child of Africa. I was raised by two Zimbabweans in Cape Town South Africa after they lost their farms to the government. We found refuge in the natural beauty the Cape had to offer and through this I was exposed to the wonders and mysteries of the natural world. I am deeply fascinated by the lessons nature has for me and for our society as a whole. I have a burning need to explore unexplored places and shed light on untold stories. My goal is to find truth and originality in the stories I showcase and the places I document. I am currently studying photography at the Stellenbosch academy of Design and Photography. I have had the honor to collaborate and work with some leading brands while under the support of this institution. I hope to further expand my appreciation for the natural world and all who inhabit it through my skills in visual storytelling. My dream is that this tool can be an invitation to uncover and shed light on areas forgotten and often overlooked.
